UNICEF Snowflake Lighting NYC 10th Anniversary
Sarah once again has the privilege of joining Broadway Kids Care in a performance during the UNICEF Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in NYC. Joining BKC was the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys and actress Angie Harmon.
Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, protection, emergency relief, and more. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s work through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States. Despite extraordinary progress, 21,000 children still die each day from preventable causes. Our mission is to do whatever it takes to make that number zero by giving children the essentials for a safe and healthy childhood.
Please help support this wonderful cause.

Review: 'The Kid Who Would Be Pope'
The reviews are in:
"The triumphant cast of kids, more than half of whom already have significant Broadway credits under their belts, makes the show. Each one is completely professional, and they actually make you wish there were more roles for children in the theater today."
"The Kid Who Would Be Pope" is a fun-filled 90 minutes that will remind you of your school days—when everything was simple and magic made anything possible."

THE KID WHO WOULD BE POPE
Book, Music, Lyrics by Tom & Jack Megan
Billy McPherson is the new kid at Our Lady Of Perpetual Motion and he has a lot to learn about parochial school. When he meets his drama teacher Sister Katherine, a beguiling novice who jogs and sings like Julie Andrews, he falls hopelessly in love, resolving to become Pope and change the rules of the church so that they can one day marry. This charming musical is about love, obsession and a young boy’s search for miracles.
THE KID WHO WOULD BE POPE was originally produced at Creative Arts at Park,
in Brookline, MA.
THE NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF)
NYMF has been the launching pad for a remarkable number of successes in New York and around the world. To date, festival productions have led to further life on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regionally (in 44 states) and internationally (in 16 countries) for such shows as Altar Boyz, [title of show], The Big Voice: God or Merman?, Captain Louie, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Gutenberg! The Musical, Meet John Doe, Midlife (the Crisis Musical), Nerds, Rooms, Shout! the Mod Musical, Yank!, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal, among many others.
Sarah is very excited to be working with such a talented cast and creative team.

Congratulations, Sarah!
The Independent Reviewers of New England recognized Sarah as "Best Young Performer" for her performance as Baby June in "Gypsy" this past summer. When the nominations were announced, we were completely taken by surprise. Now that she has actually won, we are speechless.
While Sarah was unable to attend the award ceremony in person, Mike Ceceri, Director of Marketing and Communications for North Shore Music Theater, was there to accept the award on her behalf.
Sarah would like to thank Director, Richard Sabellico, Musical Director, Nick DeGregorio, the amazing cast and crew of "Gypsy," and of course, to the Independent Reviewers of New England for this honor.
Special thanks to Janine Molinari, without whom Baby June would have just skipped around stage without twirling batons or doing cartwheels into splits.

Broadway Kids Care Raises Money for Japan 2011/03/29
Sarah has been hard at work raising money for Japan Relief. When BKC contacted it's members looking for a project manager, Sarah eagerly stepped up to the challenge. Sarah designed the bracelets, and with some help from her mom, distributed hundreds of bracelets to other BKC members to use in their fund raising efforts. Sarah has been so successful in raising awareness, her school principal has ordered another few hundred bracelets to sell, the proceeds from which will be sent to BKC to include in their total donation. IRNE Best Young Performer Award Nominee for 2010 Season
We've just found out that Sarah has been nominated for an IRNE Award for Best Young Performer for her role as "Baby June" in "Gypsy" at the North Shore Music Theater this past summer.
This was totally unexpected and we are all thrilled at the nomination.
We'd also like to congratulate fellow cast member Catherine Walker ("Louise") who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Musical).
The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards were founded by Beverly Creasey of the Journal Newspapers and Larry Stark of TheaterMirror in 1997. The IRNE Awards recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community.
