We've just found out that Sarah has been nominated for an IRNE Award for Best Young Performer for her role as "Baby June" in "Gypsy" at the North Shore Music Theater this past summer.
This was totally unexpected and we are all thrilled at the nomination.
We'd also like to congratulate fellow cast member Catherine Walker ("Louise") who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress (Musical).
The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards were founded by Beverly Creasey of the Journal Newspapers and Larry Stark of TheaterMirror in 1997. The IRNE Awards recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community.
The Independent Reviewers of New England Awards are held every spring in Boston.

Sarah Appearing at Kerrigan-Lowdermilk, Gealt Get CD Releease Concerts at Le Poisson Rouge 2011/02/02
It's been a very busy few weeks for Sarah.
Sarah has been preparing to sing at the CD Release Concert at Le Poisson Rouge to help launch the new CD "My First Mistake" by singer-songwriters Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk. Click here for the full press release. It's sure to be a fun filled evening.
Also, on Tuesday, February 8th, Sarah will be at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in NYC with "Broadway Kids Care" as part of "Kids Night on Broadway."
In the midst of all this Sarah has been studying for mid-term examinations and is eagerly preparing for her middle school's production of "Bye Bye Birdie." Sarah will be playing the role of "Unice Merkle," and will be reprising the role of "Sad Girl" where she tapped herself into the hearts of audience members when she took on this role a few years ago in a local community theater production.
